SPAGHETTI WITH CRISPY CAULIFLOWER
This is my go to in winter when I'm short on time and ideas. It's a healthier version of macaroni cheese. Serve with steamed cavolo nero or your favourite winter green and some lovely crunchy bread and you are done! Its beauty is in the combination of flavours and its simplicity. The key to making it delicious, is all in the roasting of the cauliflower.

The weather may be dreary and the evenings still long, but I count myself lucky each morning when I leave the house to be greeted by my neighbours’ tree, laden with bauble like oranges - it makes me smile. Citrus is one of winters many overlooked gifts!

I hope you all had a chance to enjoy some of the glorious autumn sunshine that most of the country experienced in the past few weeks (it looks like it might have come to an end now though). It makes all those autumn garden tasks so much more enjoyable. A sunny but not hot day is perfect gardening weather.
NORTH AFRICAN CARROT SALAD
This is a lovely accompaniment to slow roasted lamb or chicken. Or serve it for lunch with hummus and freshly toasted pita bread. It's fresh, flavoursome and very easy to put together.
